Alaina will be a month old tomorrow. She is doing very well. There for a bit she was quite fussy, but we have gotten to know each other better. I have learned that she always fusses before going to sleep. It can be exhausting but it's almost as if she has to wear herself out before going to sleep. She loves to be held and rocked which I love to do, but don't really have the luxury of doing as much as she wants. Alaina is a lot like Cade was as a baby...a great nurser, a good sleeper, but pretty high needs. Liam was a dream baby...as a three year old...well, that's another story.
Cade started Karate last week and seems to really love it. It's so much fun to watch him be so into something. I hope he sticks with it and keeps liking it. School is going very well for him too. We have a great routine and work very hard at getting our stuff done every day. He is reading...not great, but it will come. We joined a Homeschool Co-Op and he seems to enjoy it. We are all making new friends there, which is nice for all of us.
Liam is a three year old. Is there any more to say? Whoever said two was tough obviously had never met a three year old. He is also annoyed by his little sister. He doesn't say it but it's pretty plain to see at times. So far he has been patient but I can tell it annoys him when she cries and when I have her in my arms so much. He has said, "Put the baby down and PLAY with me." Until now, Liam has never cared if I played with him...he was content to play by himself. Today he was a bit upset about something unrelated to Alaina and she happened to be crying. He yelled, "I don't yuv Ya-nah!" I thought it was kind of funny.
Mark and I are doing well too. Mark's birthday was this week and Cade said that he doesn't want to be a "grown up" because grown ups don't get as many birthday presents. He couldn't believe that Mark didn't have a stack of presents like he did on his day. I am feeling good...tired, but good. I am having a hard time keeping up with things around the house, but I gave up trying so hard. The kids are the important part of my day...the rest is taking a back seat. My focus is the kitchen, meals, and laundry. The LAUNDRY is insane around here! How can someone so small make so much dirty laundry?!?
Anyway, in a nutshell that's it. Going to Missouri next week for a visit. I can't imagine the thrills that await me. Mark isn't going. Enough said.
I was trying to get Alaina's picture and Liam turned green with jealousy. He wanted his turn.
Couldn't get any good ones...she was really grumpy.
I know what you are thinking...yes, she is turning into a chunky monkey...
